ROYI develops Semi PU constructions around the finished component, required hand feel, backing movement and buyer-defined test plan. Development directions include seating, conductive ski-glove fingertips and four-way-stretch backing for shaped motorcycle seats.

Hydrolysis, UV, cleaning, seam, peel and flex performance require a defined test method, parameters and acceptance criteria. No result is assumed from the material name alone.

5,000–7,000 cycles without breakthrough

Selected Semi PU sample constructions tested with a Taber abrasion tester using H-18 wheels and a 500 g load on each of two arms have reached 5,000–7,000 cycles without breakthrough.

Results depend on surface finish, thickness, backing and the complete test method. Use the approved sample and written specification as the production reference.
